Biographical history
Pintor, escritor y político chileno, nacido en Valparaíso el 10 de abril de 1854 y fallecido el 20 de enero de 1936. Fue uno de los integrantes del grupo de artistas conocido como los pintores diplomáticos, cuya obra versa sobre temas europeos, del cual formaron también parte Alberto Orrego Luco, Ramón Subercaseaux y José Tomás Errázuriz.
