Fundada por Carlos Dávila Espinoza, cercano al Partido Socialista y reconocido adherente del ibañismo. Uno de los objetivos de ese magazine era manifestar su oposición al gobierno de Arturo Alessandri Palma (1932-1938).
Revista o magazine que se distribuía de manera semanal por los Talleres Gráficos Hoy. Contenía diversas secciones agrupadas de la siguiente manera: Semana Nacional, política, actualidad nacional, teatro, cine, música, pintura, conferencias, arte; Actualidad internacional, tópicos de América, política y economía; Los libros; Filosofía y Letras; Arte; Cine y Teatro; Magazine. Se caracterizaba por sus portadas con diseños vanguardistas y contingentes.
Se publicó por primera vez en noviembre de 1931 hasta octubre de 1943. Se reinició su publicación en el Año 22, no.615 hasta diciembre de 1952.
