Profesor y político. Militante del Partido Socialista de Chile, Partido Socialista de Trabajadores y Partido Comunista de Chile. También, fue diputado en cinco periodos por la Séptima Agrupación Departamental "Santiago" Primer Distrito, Región Metropolitana entre 1937 y 1969 y regidor de la Municipalidad de Santiago entre 1935 y 1936.
