Ingeniero, académico y político chileno. Fue presidente del Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile (1988-1989), ministro de Economía, Obras Públicas, de Vivienda y Urbanismo. Asimismo, recibió diversos reconocimientos por su prolífica carrera, medalla de oro del Instituto de ingenieros de Chile, medalla de oro de la Cámara chilena de la Construcción, entre otros.
