History
Nacido en Chillán en 1778 y fallece en Lima en 1842. Político y militar, uno de los protagonistas de la Independencia de Chile. En 1811, fue diputado en el primer Congreso Nacional. Director Supremo entre 1817 y 1823, y Comandante en jefe del Ejército entre el 27 de noviembre de 1813 y el 2 de septiembre de 1814, y entre el 27 de abril de 1819 y el 28 de enero de 1823.
