Nacido en Tocopilla, Jodorowsky es un mimo, actor y cineasta chileno. Trabajó como mimo en París, pasó un tiempo en Mexico para luego volver a Paris donde fundó el movimiento teatral pánico. A principios de 1991 vuelve a Chile para desempeñarse como escritor y actualmente en Vincennes, cerca de París.
